Keyboard is cheap on ebay. I just purchased one from ebay for $16 w/ free S&H . If you justwant a quick fix, use a USB keyboard. Works just as well & maybe even better to some extent.

To anyone wanting the simpliest fix, buy a USB keyboard. Actually much easier for me. At the same time, I just ordered a new keyboard so that I can fix it correctly. The USB keyboard will work just fine, as long as the rest of the computer is still working.

I just purchased an Acer Aspire 5315 keyboard from Ebay, $16.00 & free S&H. Thatswhy I am here looking for All of the help I can get to see how difficult it will be to replace.

Great usefull article. I’ ve an athlon xp 2500+ too with a gigabyte GA-7NNXP on one of my many computers. Works great on 100 mhz x 11 and 1,150v too. I’ m gona try my xp 2000+ on this mainboard just to see if the cpu is vcore locked or if it comes from the A7N8X deluxe where it’ s actualy mounted, can’t go under 1,60 v .

I have an Acer Aspire 5810T. When I startup the laptop the communication key flashes green then turns to orange and remains orange all the time. Sometimes it flashes on and off but mostly it remains lit orange. Is this normal? When it remains orange, what is it doing?

I’ve the EPIA EN-1500G board and had used Gentoo & Arch. I want to try FreeNAS booting from usb-stick. Maybe the power consumption will be lower because in idel mode hdd can go sleep.
BTW: My board also uses 3-5W in power off mode. Just SATA hdd is connectet and a picoPSU. With or without WOL, the values don’t change. So the board is the problem…

I am tryingto upgrade RAM im compaq presario 2104us. It originally only had one 256RAM in it. Read a few blogs and decided to get 2 x 512RAM. I got them and was able to put one of them in where the original one was but the other 512 will not fit in the other open slot?! Is this maybe a flaw in the computer or the RAM. Itried sliding it right in but there is literally not enough room for it to fit. It is the exact same size as the other 512 that did fit and the original 256 that fit. I wish I had known before I bought 2. Does this mean I can not upgrade to 1gb ram? Can it be fixed so that both 512 ram fit into the slots?
